What is the difference between counselling and coaching?
I’m asked this question a lot and this is how I tend to answer.
Both counselling and coaching involve working with trusted people who create a safe, non judgemental space to help you become your best self.
Counselling starts with where you are now and looks back to events and situations that are still having an impact on your present and works through those things so that you can move forward in a healthy way.
Coaching starts with where you are now and looks forward to where you want to be and creates a space for you to find the next steps on your journey, helps you find ways to overcome any obstacles you encounter or frustrations you are feeling and gives you accountability.
