Yes! Absolutely yes!
Coaching helps you step back from day to day life and find clarity around what your goals are.
Through coaching a person can take time to identify and clarify their goals, assess their current reality and then map out a plan to journey towards their goals.
A coach also helps you set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely) goals and helps you develop a toolkit to overcome any obstacles that are holding you back from reaching your potential.
It’s exciting stuff!
Do you find it hard to say no? Or if you do say no to someone or something do you feel you have to justify yourself?
Saying no can make us feel guilty or that we’re not meeting expectations or not doing enough.
It’s hard to feel that you might be letting someone down but ‘no’ is an essential part of our vocabulary if we’re going to take responsibility for our self care and set healthy boundaries around what we invest our time and energy into at each stage of our lives.
If you’re feeling anxious and overwhelmed today, it could be helpful to look at everything you’re saying yes to and think about where no might be a more appropriate response.
Have you said yes to too may commitments, behaviours that you’re tolerating but know aren't really acceptable, other people’s opinions that you’re agreeing with or thoughts that you’re allowing to go unchecked.
Try saying no to some of these things to day and see how that makes you feel.
I’m cheering you on.
Who needs a life coach?
My quick answer to who needs a coach is everyone!
I think we can all benefit from a safe, non judgemental space to step back from life and process where we are, where we’d like to be and how we’re going to get there.
More specifically, if you find yourself in a place where you would like direction, focus, accountability, to increase your confidence, to overcome thinking patterns or limiting beliefs that hold you back, to understand yourself better and have clarity on your purpose and values and what drives you, to change your perspective on things, to improve your leadership and business skills or help in achieving your goals then finding a good life coach could be exactly what you need.
Do you know what thoughts, behaviours, attitudes, reactions you are saying yes to and no to in yourself and others?
If you find yourself reacting rather than responding to things then looking at your boundaries can be really helpful.
If we don’t have healthy boundaries or those boundaries are being crossed, we can feel misunderstood or taken advantage of and often powerless in situations which can lead to anger and frustration.
Setting healthy boundaries is a way of determining what we will and won’t accept, they are the lines that help us define our identity and are a crucial part of self care.
Have you stopped to think about your boundaries lately?
